The Tulip Festival

We went to the Tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point on April 27th...we decided that we would get season passes this year, which has definitely been worth the money. We have made several trips to the Gardens this summer. And I myself have taken several friends their as well, any guest that we bring can get into any place on the grounds for half price. I love the gardens the best, its so peaceful to walk around there and such a great place to take pictures :-)

Aren't my parents so great to humor me and my picture taking obesssion?
I so love them!

The tulips were so pretty this year!

Such a cute couple

Still Alive...

Well here it is the beginning of August and I have not posted anything since May...I decided that I should get back to it and fast since I just keep taking more and more pictures of things I want to post. It's trouble really cause I am so far behind... ah the dilema if only there were more time in a day and longer weekends Ha Ha! So I am going to rewind now for a little while...clear back to the end of April... and then move forward to all the happenings this summer!

Baby Shower, Babysitting and Birthday Celebrating!

April 21st: We had a baby shower for my cousin Britanie that night, thanks to Alicia, she put it all together with fun games for us to play with great prizes. We then had yummy treats mom made rice crispie treats and I made the chocolate brownie trifle. It was really fun night and Brit got a lot of cute things for her new baby girl!
Here is Brit with all her gifts... little Josie Page was born just over a week later on April 29th almost on my birthday, it was so close!

April 25th: I went babysitting at the Blake's that afternoon and evening. It was such a cold and rainy day but that sure didn't stop us from having fun!

The kids begged me to go play on the playground at the school once the rain had finally stopped so off we went although we didn't stay for very long. It was cold, wet and very slippery nonetheless it did not diminish Dylan's cheesy smile whatsoever!

Whitney showing off her moves on the bar

Afterwards we went back to the house and had hot chocolate with whip cream or I guess for some of us it was WHIP CREAM with just a little hot chocolate :-) I think Courtney sprayed a little too much more than Whitney was bargaining for!

April 26th: I got to start celebrating my birthday a little early that Sunday at church. All the primary kids sang to me and my Aunt Sherrie brought cupcakes for our class treat!

Here is me and my cute class!

" April Showers bring May Flowers"...oh wait "Not Rain But SNOW"

We woke up to a big surprise on April 15th... a huge snow storm! Most people were upset by it but I quite enjoyed it... that was my late day for going into work so I spent a good 45 minutes that morning wandering around our yard taking these beautiful pictures!
The sun was reflecting off all the snow, the blue sky and the clouds...such a great picture taking combo :-)

It was a little sad seeing the poor blossoms with the snow and ice all over them but so pretty all at the same time. And they were fine anyway because most of it had melted by the end of the day

I love this one!

You're Never Too Old...

So when Mike and Alicia showed up for dinner that Easter Sunday they walked in carrying a carton of eggs in one hand and a coloring kit in the other. Mike then proceeded to tell us that "you are never too old to color Easter Eggs" which I could not agree with more! It made me happy cause the last few years we have not and well I am all about traditions and keeping them alive despite the fact we have no little kids in our immediate family at this point in time. Thanks brother for taking charge and keeping this alive... such a great memory!
My brother takes his easter egg dying skills very seriously!

Showing off our artwork

My cousins Samantha and Brandon in their Easter clothes at Primary

Ya sometimes its hard to take pictures just holding the camera out in front of you... sometimes it works and somtimes it doesn't! Sorry Sam didn't mean to cut you out :-)

My cute primary kids with their Easter treat

Where did APRIL go?

Well I can't believe here it is the middle of May...and I haven't posted one thing that when on in the month of April! I have a lot of catching up to do that's for sure! So let's start at the beginning shall we...
April 1st: Happy Birthday James!
My friend Toni and her husband Rick's little boy James was born on April fools day... James and I have a an extra special bond cause his birthday is the first day of April and mine is the last :-) I went to his first birthday party... Toni made fun cupcakes which James loved to squish all the frosting thru his fingers more than anything!
Special Company for the Week
Michael and Alicia went to Florida the first week of April so we got to have Izzy come stay with us while they were gone. Oh how I love this puppy... she is such good company :-) She followed me wherever I went and slept in my bed with me at night, which she must have been having a puppy nightmare about chasing something the one night, cause I woke up to little puppy paws pounding me in the back!
